“Will my old 3 ohm/18 watt speakers work with it or get ruined? I have speakers from an old Philips/Magnavox FW45C3 that are rated for 3 ohms/18 watts. Will this receiver blow them up or will they work fine?”

• no, I wouldn't chance it . This receiver is rated for 8 ohm speakers. My advice to you is to buy speakers that can handle at least 130 watts and 8 ohms , most receivers are rated for 8 ohm speakers.

• Not sure if you got an answer butI do believe a 200 watt stereo can blow out 18 watt speakers if you turn the receiver up too high. Did that in my earlier years on my first box.
