“How does it sound with headphones? I'm looking for a receiver to hook up to both my computer and my television solely for the purpose of private listening with my headphones. I am a little hard of hearing, and right now my headphones are plugged directly into my computer/t.v. but the sound is not to my liking. I am looking for nice, stereo quality sound when I plud in my headphones. Is this the receiver for me, or is there another one that I should consider?”

I listen to both speakers and headphones depending on time of day. Not sure why the TV shouldn't sound okay as is but there are bass/treble adjustments on the receiver to tweak the frequency response.

If you find that this receiver is not to your liking, you may want to look into new headphones or perhaps sound card/software for the computer.

The audio quality actually depends on the type of headphones that you are using and the type of audio source that you have. In addition audio output from the headphone port is analog.
