Yes. In fact I connected mine directly to the red/white outputs on my cable box. With a pair of Yamaha speakers, I have much better sound than the tiny speakers on my flatscreen t.v. can produce.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will. It is only a two channel receiver though, meaning you will only have stereo sound NOT surround. You need an RCA cable that would run from the audio out on your TV to one of the audio inputs on the back of the receiver. Done.
