My daughter is using it at LSU. One of her classes is in an auditorium that holds 1000 students. She has 900 in her class, and she uses it with no problem.

Please try again later.This is very dependent on the environment and the speaker themselves (everyone speaks with varying degrees of volume and clarity) so it's very difficult to give an accurate quantifiable answer. The further away from the subject the more ambient noise will be picked up. The type and size of location can affect echoes that can also reduce clarity.
