I wouldn't do that if you want the best audio possible out of them. Instead mount then on the wall as close to the ceiling as possible. I have 6 and I mounted them above my FR, FL, RR, RL towers and then I put one on my left wall and one on my right at the halfway point between my front and rear channels.
