• that is basically where I have the speakers. I am using them for surround sound and I like them configured that way.

• Mine are about 3ft from the ceiling, and they sound great.

• Should would fine as the speakers come with brackets to attach to the wall a couple feet from the ceiling in the front above your surround sound left and right speakers. I have mine on top of my front tower speakers which works well.
