Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can do this manually by clicking on the upper right of the remote on "Wide". From there you can change the aspect ratio. If you want the picture to change aspect ratios automatically, do this: with the remote, click on "Home", then on the screen click on "Settings". Click next on "Preferences", then on "Screen", and click on the top choice: "Wide Mode" and set it to "Normal". Then go down to "Auto Wide" and turn it to the "On" position. Then press the "Home" button on the remote to get back out of the menu. From then on, the aspect ratio will change on its own according to the ratio of the content being broadcast to your TV. You won't have to adjust the aspect ratio on the remote every time you change channels. Therefore, you won't see distorted, stretched out or skinny images because of a wrong aspect ratio. You can always go back to setting the aspect ratio manually by undoing the steps above.

But, when using a standard HDMI PC input (the standard input for cable or satellite), the 4:3 "normal" aspect is NOT full screen. Instead, it only uses about 70% of the screen, which is quite limited. This is a major downside to this television. There is no way to fix this problem except to zoom, which causes significant image distortion.
