• Yes, it automatically searches for the connections available. Then all you need is the secure sign on for the Wi Fi.

• Yes during initial setup you can select your Wi-Fi network to connect to or you can plug in a wired connection in the back of the TV. I suggest you have a good connection for Wi-Fi (at least 80%) since apps like Netflix choose video quality based on signal strength.
