“How to connect TV to analog receiver? I tried using a digital optical audio cable to connect TV's audio output to a DAC and then into my old analog stereo receiver and speakers. No sound no matter how I change the settings on the TV. I also have a Bravia Blu-Ray hooked up to the TV, by the way. Headphone jack output on TV hooks up to the receiver just fine, but I would prefer to use the DAC and get better sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated!”

Hello DY! In order to be able to get sound our from the Optical audio output of your unit it will be necessary to make sure that the following settings aer set as follows: Press the HOME button ? Settings ?Sound ? Speakers ? Audio System; under sound settings select Headphone/Audio Out ? Audio Out and also under the Audio Out in the sound setting menu ? Fixed. If in use of a Digital Audio Converter we cannot guarantee that it will be capable of converting the signal Digital to Analog it is recommend to test the DAC with another source since a direct connection from the television to a receiver will provide sound with no issue.~ Jeannette
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The only way to use anolog is to have left and right analog RCA out of the tv in to the receiver. If ur tv has a left right anolog RCA output.
