“How easy is the remote to operate? My husband has brain damage and can really only handle channel up/down and volume up/down. Can you turn this tv on and just do those options? Also we do not have a smart phone or tablet. Will the remote be simple?”

If you happen to use a Sony DVD player or and other device... pressing play or power will turn the TV on and the player and switch the input with a single stroke of the remote. My 92 year old father handles it easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Simple is relative, but I'd have to say no. There are a lot of little buttons on it and it is easy to miss the one you want. However, I would think you could find a third party remote that might simplify it for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Once the TV is on, just use the remote volume and channel buttons. You can probably paint nail polish on them along with the mute botton to make it easy to see each one.
