A:AnswerI can't tell what you mean by "converter". Do you really mean "tuner"? OTA signals have been digital for some time now, and this set has both ATSC and ClearQAM tuners, so any sort of converter would be irrelevant. Only old, analog TVs require "digital converters".

A:AnswerI have since purchased this model and was dismayed that there was no RCA audio outputs, only a headphone jack. However, there is an optical output that I discovered was compatible with my stereo system that give us excellent sound quality. There is also a setting on the TV for dialog enhancement that I think works very well.
