It also lets you connect to Amazon Prime, Hulu, Crackle, and some other streaming channels, in addition to connecting to web sites like YouTube where you can watch videos and such. As a smart internet connected TV, one of the first things it does as you're setting it up is it downloads and installs an update to its firmware, so your running the latest updated TV system. So it is a smart TV, but doesn't have quite as many streaming channels like a Roku does.
