“I have read somewhere it's not possible to even set up this TV out of the box if you don't have an android device (which I don't-all Apple products) which I find a little hard to believe you can't use the remote so anyone know for certain if it's true?”

• I have no android devices and set mine up just fine. Just used the remote that came with it.
