I looked at these in the store this morning. The more expensive of the two (X800E) automatically upscales lower resolution video to Ultra HD video (4K). It has a higher grade chipset. Apparently the D doesn't have this ability. This is what the salesman at the store told me. I'd definitely spend a few extra bucks and get the better one (the X800E). Maybe this helps someone trying to decide between the two.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I expect reviews of actual sets to find small improvements to the picture quality, but they are close. Having the same TradeMark (name) does not mean the tech is identical; tech improves. In particular, the Android smart TV feature is a year newer, with newer chips to run Android 6.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The panel is IPS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as the weight is concerned, I believe the 43x800d has an internal power supply whereas the 43x800e uses an external brick. The 43x800d uses a VA panel and I've read a few places (including here) that the 43x800e uses IPS. I'd really like to know about other differences between the two models, but I can't find any other info.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi FAUguy, X800D and X800E are almost the same except in weight. The X800D is 27.1 lb (12.3 kg) while the X800E is 22.3 lb (10.1 kg). You may also refer to the links below for more information about these models.
