How is watching sports on this tv? fast motion? null

I watched some football over the weekend. With both the football mode enabled and disabled. It was fine, in fact it was good. I couldn't tell much difference between football mode and non-football mode. Maybe I was watching the wrong 'football'. If it matters I was watch over the air signal, not a cable channel.
