Stands are available using the VESA holes. Normally those holes are used to wall mount, but they can be used to hold the tv for a stand that will fit a table 200mm; that is about 8 inches.

It is sturdy and heavy enough that I have no concerns about it tipping. My brother helped me set it up and he was also impressed by the weight of the stand. That being said, there are no children (or big dogs) in my house to worry about.
