You can connect your TV to your cable box and connect the cable box to a power source however, the KD43X80J also has built-in TV applications that you can enjoy if the TV is connected to the internet applications such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and many more! Yes you can. But to use the Google tv features you also have to connect it to the internet. Either by Ethernet cable or wi fi. It is a excellent tv.
