“How come Best Buy is listing this TV as 2021 model and has one hdmi 2.1 input port when Sony website says that A9S 48 inch tv is model year 2020 and it has no HDMI 2.1 input? BestBuy, please fix your listing. Thank you.”

this is a 2020 model really but there was no replacement for this tv until the a90k in a 48 inch size. so in this size it covers 2020 and 2021. hope this helps. and you are right it does not have 2.1 hdmi at all. it has 4 hdmi 2.0 ports.
