A: I bought the LG C1 48 before returning it after 3 weeks and picking up the Sony A9S. While the C1 had an amazing picture, I found the AI processing of the sound component to be annoying and I turned it off. In addition, the build quality seemed slightly inferior and the set developed a slight coil whine after about a week. I returned it and bought the A9S, as I have owned other Sony TVs that I was satisfied with and I knew that LG made the OLED panels for Sony anyway. The A9S has a more solid build quality and the Android TV interface is more intuitive and also supports ChromeCast from other devices like phones. Having said all of this, if I were a gamer I would probably have stuck with the C1 due to its HDMI 2.1 support. Since I only watch content on this set, I actually prefer the picture of the A9S over the C1. I hope this is helpful to you.
Q: Do you find it necessary to attach a soundbar or is the TV alone good enough?
A: I wear hearing aids in both ears and can watch and listen with volume at 25 to 28 and can hear ok. without my hearing aids it is 35 to 38 for prime time shows like FBI most wanted and Blue Bloods which for some reason have a quieter dialogue. I have this tv in the bedroom. I hope this helps.
Q: How many HDMI inputs does this have and how do I connect my four devices to the tv?
A: Hey Matt The Sony A9S has 4 HDMI ports. #1 is on the TV’s left edge, #’s 2,3 and 4 are on the back of the TV. All four ports support 4K resolution. Connection is HDMI cable from TV to each device, The remote has an “Input” button to find each input number for each device. Very easy, once you know where to look. If this Boomer can figure it out, anyone can
A: Runs Android 10... has Google voice commands
Q: Does it have the xfinity streaming app, or do I need to purchase a roku?
A: No it does not. Only select LG and Samsung Tv's from 2017 forward have the Xfinity Stream app. I have it on my Samsung. This link lists which tv's can get it : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/activating-xfinity-stream-smarttvs Sony does not support it. Also note as of right now LG does not have HBO Max. Roku is a great solution and supports both Xfinity Stream app and HBO Max for me on all my other tv's. Plus, Roku has a new Roku Express 4K with HDR- 2021 model (3941R) that has voice remote, upgraded processor, and a better, farther and faster dual band wi-fi (2.4Gh and 5Gh) and comes with a new ultra high speed hdmi cable - capable of 4K and 18Gbps. Get in on sale for $29.99 normally $39.99. Sales go on often. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/roku-express-4k-2021-streaming-media-player-with-voice-remote-tv-controls-and-premium-hdmi-cable-black/6449512.p?skuId=6449512
Q: Does anyone have a picture of the remote that comes with the tv?
A: see attached photo.
Q: What input does a sound bar go in to? Mine is a small translucent connector/plug.
A: That goes into the optical port. However the sound for that TV is so good I did not use my my Yamaha soundbar.
