As of August 13, 2016 the Amazon app is not available. I called Sony tech support yesterday and confirmed. Do yourself a favor, save a couple bucks, and buy last year's model.

Please try again later.Currently you cannot access Amazon Instant Video on this TV; however I purchased mine on 7/3/16 and have an open case file with Sony regarding this issue. I just called again today 7/29/16 and was reassured by Sony that an update is scheduled this summer that will give the Amazon Instant Video App option. I'm hanging in there hoping this comes SOON!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can get amazon prime on this model. I don't subscribe to it but I think you can get 30 day trial for free and it's around 10 bucks a month after that if u decide to keep it.
