Hi Amyglv, The main difference of the two is that the XBR49X800D has the TRILUMINOS display feature which gives more color depth and enchancement. The remote which comes with 800D is a bluetooth remote with mic, while the one with 700D is an IR remote without mic. You can buy mic remote online for around $55-65, but its not worth the money as there are plenty of android TV remote apps available, and recently launched Alexa control for Sony 700D and 800D.
