“old b&w movies I'm an old movie buff. I understand that the refreash can cause what they call "soap opera effect" making older movies appear to move oddly. Has anyone watched a 30s or 40s movie...how was it”

• The refresh rate has nothing to do with the soap opera effect it's the artificial cineamotion or true motion effect that gives you the really weird feeling while watching.... You can turn it off it's a controllable feature

• Yes, I a film buff and in the industry and can be very picky. I was pleasantly pleased with the upscaling and the motion blur can be easily fixed with the numerous motion flow options!
