Many sedans wouldn't have a back seat long enough across, or a door opening and roof clearance big enough, to slide this box in and close both doors. You definitely want to check this with a tape measure using the dimensions in Sony's accurate answer here before doing a store pickup with a sedan, though of course delivery is always possible. The 49" box barely fit in the back seat of my Tacoma pickup truck which has a wider back seat and bigger door opening than many sedans. A 55"+ TV in the box would not fit in the back seat of my truck. A pickup truck bed would work but it's safer to transport these TVs standing in a back seat if possible.
