QuestionDoes Sony sell a low voltage power cord extender? I mounted to the wall but don’t have an outlet behind tv. I want the power brick to be out of sight behind furniture and plan to run the power line through the wall with the hdmi... but it’s too short.

- Answer Yes, you can disable the voice assistant. There is a procedure to unpair it from the tv. I read about it in the help section, press the help button and search the FAQ on the tv.

QuestionHow can I access my DVR cable box page, I am able to access my cable TV channels but there is no button on the remote that accesses the DVR portion of the cable box ,is there a way to program this button, thank you very much for your help

- Answer I went with a Logitech programmable remote for both my living and bedroom system. I would highly recommend looking at these as a preferred option. You can program it easily, customize to your specific systems for TV, Movies, Music, Games, etc... then you can program the buttons, screens to meet your preferences.

QuestionDoes the Sony 49" Class TV XBR49X900E have a bass that can be adjusted. I get a booming sound when TV is loud. The salesperson could not find it.

- Answer Hi jeanb, the bass is not adjustable. However, there are alternatives that you can do to help resolve this issue. First, changing the [Sound Mode]. Go to [Settings] - [Sound] - [Sound adjustments] - [Sound mode]. Change the [Sound mode] to your preferred settings. Second, adjust the [Equalizer] of the TV. However, this is only available when sound is output from the TV speakers. You can go to [Settings] - [Sound] - [Sound adjustments] - [Advanced Settings] - [Sound mode related] - [Equalizer]. QuestionJust installed the TV and connected with a Directv Genie 44-500. The Sony remote work fine with the TV and Sonos system and the guide displays the Directv guide but the select key does not change the channel to the selected show from the guide.

- Answer I have not idea. Burt, our geek squad person hooked it up so that the Comcast remote works to do the adjusting.

- Answer Yes, this television can output sound to Bluetooth devices. If your hearing aids support Bluetooth, it may be to your benefit to directly pair the hearing aids with the television.

- Answer I have a Sony in my bedroom using Direct TV genie. It does not connect to either the TV or the wall cable wirelessly. It’s possible that’s changed but I don’t think so.

QuestionSay the screen goes purple in 2 months. Presume it is covered under warranty. But does this include a visit by the Geek Squad to fix/replace? So then what happens after a year or two if it goes kaput--with and without extended coverage?

- Answer The TV comes with a one year warranty THRU SONY not best buy unless you purchased the extended warranty thru BB. If you have a problem during the first year you deal with Sony if you didn't purchase the extended Geek Squad protection. If you purchased the extended protection then you deal with BB for the term of your extended plan. Hope this helps.
