  • QuestionIf you turn off the wireless wifi setting in the settings window of the tv, and keep your router's wireless wifi on, and unhook the ethernet cable from the router to the tv (if you have a wire connection), will the wireless wifi on the tv still work?

    Asked by Jimbob.

    • Answer Hi Jimbob, No it's not. Like any WiFi device with ethernet port, if you turn off the WiFi card and disconnect the ethernet cable even though the router WiFi is on, it still will not work since the WiFi card is turned off and the router will not be able to find it. If by some odd chance it does then it means the WiFi card has a software bug and will just need to be updated to correct that on a Software Update which happens atleast once every month from what I'm experiencing with my X900E TV.

  • QuestionWhere is the code for the Bravia XBR49x900e

    Asked by Sheila.

    • Answer Or did you mean the correct code to program a universal remote control for this Sony TV model? My cable company remote, Motorola DVR, Comcast/Charter style, needed "10000" as the code to control this TV. If that doesn't fit or work, websearch "codes for universal remotes" for more specific advice to your gear. Of course you can also program the remote with this TV to work to control some other gear such as cable boxes, but I realize you may prefer to have a different remote to control this TV for certain functions.

  • QuestionWhy my 4k sony tv turn on by itself?

    Asked by Javi.

    • Answer PROBABLY BECAUSE YOUR SETTINGS REQUIRE IT TO DO THAT. DO THIS: 1} Press the "HOME" key on your remote 2} Select "External Inputs" 3} Go down to "Bravia Sync Settings" 4) Uncheck ""TV Auto Power On" if the selector is to the right. THAT SHOULD FIX YOUR ISSUE...HOPEFULLY.
