How does this model perform in a bright room? null

When using HDR native apps like Netflix, not so well. But you can adjust by increasing the Contrast and Gamma, and setting Adv. Contrast Enhancer to "high."

The X800H has increased brightness output vs. its predecessor model X800G to make HDR and Dolby Vision more brilliant, but will simultaneously help combat ambient light in the room when watching the TV. You can also configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size.
