“Can the stand legs be switched left to right so they point in? My table is only 28" wide. If not is there an alternative stand?”

Same issue here. I bought a vesa stand at walmart for about $30 and it works great and it even swivels.
I would recommend:

Hi DanP, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you cannot switch the left and right legs of the TV. And we do not recommend using a third-party TV stand as we cannot guarantee its stability and may cause the TV set to topple over, fall down, and cause personal injury or damage to the TV. As an alternative option, you can mount the TV to a wall using a suitable Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied).
