• My current Sony TV remote works in turning the volume up and down, as does my very old Sony remote for my tube TV. Since I have the ARC feature and it is synced with the TV it automatically turns on with the TV, but does not turn off with it, so the volume may be the only thing that can be controlled by both the TV remote and soundbar remote.
