“Hooking up to Sonos speakers and ceiling speakers I have a Sony STR-DN840 Receiver hardwired to ceiling speakers. My current old school CD player (Sony CDP-C211) and receiver worked great through the ceiling speakers. Now the Receiver is hooked to a SONOS Connect via optical cable. I can connect to the SONOS speakers AND the ceiling speakers all at the same time via SAT/CAT TV on the Receiver's selection dial. The SONOS system works great in conjunction with the receiver and ceiling speakers. But now I can't get my old CD player to work through the SONOS AND ceiling speakers concurrently. So my question is whether or not the Sony CDPCE500 CD player will do what I need it to which is to play through the SONOS and ceiling speakers? I don't mind buying a new component if the end result is what I want.”
