Exactly what I was looking for. Basic 5 cd changer that is very simple to hook up and use. Has a great price point and first rate sound and features. Also reads flash and USB.

First let me say that this CD Player is fantastic! It is easy to operate, is quiet, and produces great sounds. I am a little disappointed in the BB Technical Support. I spoke with someone in the Tech Support group via Chat prior to making this purchase. I was trying to determine if this CD Player has a Shuffle function. After several minutes the Technician came back online and said No -- this CD Player does not have a Shuffle function. I next went to the ABC Warehouse site and located this very same CD Player and in reading some of the Reviews, I spotted a reference to the Shuffle function! I ultimately purchased this CD Player from BB and, lo and behold, the player does have the Shuffle function which I use routinely. I'm glad I kept digging into the functionality of this player and am very happy with this device!

Bought for a great price. Sony has classic style. More important, the unit functions extremely well, easy to use, remote is easy to use, and has the expected operating features as well as some new features (USB, MP3) not available on my old changer. Set up is a snap; you just plug it in. It does just want I needed -- it plays my old CDs and with the carousel, it plays for hours. You can't go wrong.

I have had my Sony 5 Disc Carousel Player with USB, since early February 2015. I REALLY love this machine!! It plays CD's great, as well as USB Flash drives with MP3, WMA, etc. I can't remember the other audio file. I've tried the record (transfer) CD tracks to USB Flash Drive...& it works very well. Sound quality is excellent! Although, on a few occasionions...it stopped recording. My only complaint...is it's kind of loud when the carousel is changing CD's. Not bad though! Also, I haven't been able to figure out...how (or if), I can program an entire CD...without having to individually program every song on the CD. I owned the previous version of this...& I COULD easily program an entire CD, with a touch of a button or 2. For example, I want to listen to CD1, CD3...& CD5. I use to program it that way...in order to hear all 3 CD's in their entirety. If I am missing something...please let me know. Anyway, this is an EXCELLENT machine!! I use the CD section & the USB section, about the same amount. Amazingly, MP3's sound excellent on this machine. And, even more surprising...is the overall sound quality of this player. I had a Tascam "Professional Series" CD Recorder & Player. Only a few years old. I "thought" that it had superior sound quality...until this Sony!! I hear instruments, I've never heard before, very clearly. More than the Tascam. I would highly recommend this Sony to ANYONE!

Good player, easy load and with a bit of figuring out--relatively easy to use. Remote works well, so once loaded, don't have to get up to maneuver what you want to hear. A bit noisy when discs change, but hard to avoid that on any player. I'm old fashioned and still like to play discs--so this is definitely an upgrade from the old one I had (over 15 years old!) Have not tried downloading disc music to thumb drive yet, but has that capability--which is great.

We recently had a 100-disc changer give up the ghost after more than 20 years of service. After looking at a few other large-capacity changers, we decided to go with a basic 5-disc changer due to high cost and concerns about reliability of the large-capacity CD changers. After some research comparing with other similar types, we went with the Sony. We've only had it a few weeks but it's certainly got all the features we need and appears to be of high quality. Only minor criticism I would have is that it's a bit noisy when changing discs, but I was aware of this from other reviewers prior to purchasing.

The controls are easy to use and well-designed. The sound is very good for this price (use an optical cable and it will sound better). It does creak every time the tray opens but it's not distracting. It looks like it could have some mechanical problems in the future, but I think it's great so far. And "they just don't make 'em like they used to." Not now, not ever. I guess Best Buy is using this to sell the protection plan (I went back to the store to buy the plan). I'm just happy that I can still get a cd player in-store and it sounds much better than mp3.

I've always bought Sony electronic products for my home entertainment center. When my original Sony CD player needed repair & couldn't be fixed, the shop technician advised me to buy a new CD player at Best Buy. I immediately looked online & found the Sony product which most closely matched my original player. The price was competitive. I rushed it home, installed my new Sony CD player and I'm extremely happy!

Works as described and very easy to set-up. Was a great price for a multi disc player and had all the necessary features I wanted.

This unit replaced my Technic 5-disc player I bought way back in 1985 (excellent piece of equipment). Sadly, Technic no longer makes disc players, and so this Sony unit was purchased. So far, I am very pleased with the player. Sound quality is good, read outs clear, and the remote control easy to use. I am very pleased.

I have a Bose system and I was able to attach this in the auxillary port and now I have gone from single cd player mode to 5 cds and it is wonderful! So far the quality has been great and I have had no problems whatsoever. I have only had the item for about 6 weeks but so far so good! The shipment was incredibly speedy and it was packaged great in order to avoid any damage.

Very happy to find a multi-disc CD changer - especially in a brand of decent quality at a reasonable price! Easy set-up/hook-up - less than 2 minutes. I've had it a month and the only negative so far is that it's somewhat noisy as it changes between discs. Just hope it lasts a long time!

We had a 5-disc DVD/CD changer that wore out. Because we have a Blu-Ray player now I just wanted to be able to listen to a lot of music without changing discs frequently. Works beautifully as Sony has always done for us.

I have a high end Yamaha stereo system that is about 30 years old but still creates excellent sound. When the CD player finally gave up the ghost, I had to decide whether to ditch the whole thing or replace the CD player. Fortunately, this Sony player was available at a reasonable price. It has the same footprint as the Yamaha, the same black finish, and seems to have almost as good fidelity. In addition, it has a USB connection that allows me to play digital files. Although the days are numbered for this type of technology (i.e. CDs), I am happy that this well made option was available. I think CDs produce better sound than MP3 files although not a good as vinyl records, which I also continue to enjoy with this system.

My Marantz 5 disc finally gave out after 20 years so I started looking around for a replacement. Looked at various brands including another Marantz, but pricy. This Sony is really easy to set-up, has great features and the sound quality is fantastic. Would highly recommend to someone looking for a 5 disc changer.

Easy setup and play features. Was lucky to find unit as there are not many multi-disc changers on the market. Plus, the quality that Sony puts in their products. This was a replacement for Fisher unit that started to skip during play.

I wanted a basic CD player that had a multi-disc changer for my family room. (not my high end stereo room) This CD player more than fit the bill for this application. Decent sound, good features and good price.

This CD player is a quality product at a great price. CD players have not changed much over the years, so it was easy to switch from my old Sony CD player to my new one. Sony means quality to me!

easy to use CD player with 5 disc capacity. simple hookup to receiver to use immediately. I like the new MP3 feature which was not available on older players. As a bonus Best Buy's price was much lower than AMAZON!

My prevous CD changer only housed 3 CDs and had a difficult time playing CDs that I burned on my computer. The Sony 5-disc is fantastic. I have had no issues playing my CDs and the sound quality is inredible!
