• It doesn't play with speakers. You need to plug this into a receiver of some type. The speakers are connected to the received. It is not a receiver.

• I connected mine to an audio/video stereo receiver

• You can connect this unit to any audio system that comes with an analog audio in (red/white) or optical digital in port available such as a home theater system, receiver, or sound bar. ~Jeannette
