• Hi there! This TV doesn't require an external 3D transmitter. It has a built in 3D transmitter. -Anthony

• It has active 3D built-in, so you will need 3D content (e.g. from cable on-demand or 3D Blu Ray), HDMI cable, and of course, active 3D glasses. Sony sure has done a horrible job at marketing the features.

• this product does say its 3D but for me never seemed thats a 3D movie instead that was a ghost pictures all around.
