The TV will simply display the output of the AppleTV (a bonus is that the remote for this TV is already set up to work with the Apple TV as well. For best results you'll want to connect the AppleTV to either the HDMI 2 or 3 inputs on the TV and turn on HDMI enhanced mode using the TV's configuration menus.
