Does this need a sound bar to received good audio? null

Yes, the Sony TV in question has fair to poor sound quality. The Best Buy salesperson recommended a JBL soundbar, regular price $200 on sale for $120. The sound is remarkable!

no, I only use the soundbar for musical events but for regular news and programs I have it off as there is alot of background music in everything we watch and the sound bar picks it up and I find it annoying. but the soundbar is great for musical events!
