“I am trying to mount the TV to the wall. I removed the screws in the back, however, the Machine Screws (M6 - 1.0) purchased to attach the wall mount bracket to the back of the TV do not thread in the holes. Please confirm size needed for mounting screws”

The mount I bought at Walmart came with various size screws to attach the mounting bracket to the back of the tv I’m not sure what size they are
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually, I figured this out today. Sony's answer (and the user manual for this TV is wrong. It specifies the use of M6 screws to attach mounting brackets to the back of this TV. M6 screws do not fit. M5 screws fit and should be used to mount. Perhaps M6 screws worked for the 2020 version of this TV but definitely not for the 2021 version X80J
