The picture processor of the X95J series and X90J series is Cognitive Processor XR while the X85J and X80J is 4K HDR Processor X1. The Backlight technology of the X95J series and X90J series is Local Dimming while the X85J and X80J is Frame Dimming. The color technology of the X95J series and X90J series is XR Triluminos Pro™ while the X85J and X80J is TRILUMINOS PRO™. Please try again later.It’s my understanding that the difference in numbers (i.e., 80j, 85j, etc.) has to do with the way the internal processor works as it pertains to backlight, contrast, movement, black lighting and so on. It will depend on what room you are placing the tv. Does it have a lot of natural light, is it darker like a theatre, will viewers be watching at an angle. Your sales associate should be able to lead you in the right direction if they are given the information of what type room you’re buying for.
