“Can anyone tell me how to turn off the Loud beep that is made EVERY time you move from one selectable item on the screen to the next? I've looked in sound settings and I don't see any kind of button feed back, on screen select noise off or system sounds.”

Try settings, then system, then sounds. You will see an on/ off button
