I set this TV up myself. The instructions are clear and it was easy to assemble. It is quite heavy and large so you should have 2 people to remove it from the box and place it where you want it after assembly. If you are not comfortable lifting a large, heavy TV then professional installation may be the way to go!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Kova, Thank you for your inquiry. Installing and setting up the KD50X85J TV is easy. Make sure to follow the supplied setup guide correctly. However, if you are planning to install the TV to a wall, this TV works with any VESA Complaint wall mount bracket with a screw hole pattern of 200 × 200 mm (7 7/8 x 7 7/8 in). For product protection and safety reasons, Sony strongly recommends that the installation of your TV on a wall be performed by qualified professionals. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I installed it on my wall myself and even figured out a way to hide the cables behind the wall. If you’re not scared of DIY, it’s easily doable as long as you have the right tools. If you’re not too comfortable though, have it professionally mounted just to be safe. Peace of mind is EVERYTHING especially with expensive TVs
