• Hi Carl, Thank for your question with our X85J. We recommend you always keep the TV in an upright position during transport to avoid pressure on the display panel that could cause permanent damage. Hope this helps. - Kris

• The literature says not to but when I bought mine the Best Buy salesman placed it in my SUV laying flat. It would not stand upright anyway. It was fine making trip home. Everyone transports them that way.
