Reaction: This system is not for you. Hard rock and metal implies big volume, with rattling highs and crashing lows. These speakers are not of that size. And frankly, the treble and bass are limited. Sounds good for a $200 system tho...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Look elsewhere. This stereo sucks. Has no bass at all. Double bass drums will be non existent and stereo can't play loud at all. Spend little more and get Onkyo or the Denon mini stereos. I had to buy a powered sub just to be able to enjoy listening to this junk stereo. I should have returned it honestly.
