Yes this TV can be mounted on a wall using a standard flat screen mount

Yes but you will need to buy a mount frame for a 55" tv. I mounted 3 of these side by side. Make sure you mount to studs or use heavy duty holllow wall anchors. It will take two people to hang it safely.
