• No it was a update I had to do out of the box, but then it was ready to go

• I did not see anything in setup instructions about this so don't think it's necessary! Has general settings on by default, but Lots of other options to pick from, Vivid mode for picture is incredible!

• No. I sure didn't. But I do have the capability and may do it later just to see the difference in the picture. But so far, I've fallen in love with it right out of the box. Enjoy your TV!

• No Calibration is needed. Just run the updates takes about 60 min.
