You don't need to turn off anything, the Sony 810C handles all of that automatically. Also, the picture quality on the Sony in any resolution below 4K is better than my other native 1080 TVs. Finally, you can manually change refresh rates from 60hz to 120hz in the advanced picture settings screen.
