“I recently bought this TV it's my first 4k TV. The picture seems so bad on regular cable TV is this normal and what would you suggest I could do to watch my shows in better picture quality.”

No it’s not normal you have to go through settings and turn on the enhanced input, it makes a world of a difference. Also these settings helped me get mine perfect and will show you how to turn on the enhanced input. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900f/settings I also had an issue with tv pass through on my Xbox one s which would give me a terrible picture for live tv only, I picked up a hdmi splitter to test and the direct input to the tv the picture is amazing. So I’m going to pick up the one x and see if that helps. Also make sure your cable box settings are set to at least 720p and higher that will help too. I hope this helps
