• Yes, you would need an iTV to use Apple AirPlay.

• Yes, unfortunately there’s no way to stream an iOS device to this tv that I have found without going through an Apple TV. It pretty much boils down to the whole Apple vs Android thing

• Hi Nova, if your iPad supports Wi-Fi Direct, no additional devices needed. If the said feature is not supported, you will need an Apple TV box for wireless streaming with your iOS device. Thanks, -Mark
