UPDATE: Regarding the mouse, i later found that the reason the mouse was not responding was simply that the USB Port #2 where the mouse’s transceiver was plugged in, was hidden behind the screen. I used a short usb extension cable from that usb port to reposition the mouse’s transceiver to where it was in a direct line facing the mouse, and VOILA! The mouse came alive. Oddly, and luckily, this problem didn’t happen with the keyboard, whose transceiver was plugged into the TV’s USB port #1, also behind the screen, yet worked just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I connected a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 by plugging its little usb transceiver into one usb port. It works ok and i also downloaded and installed the 3rd party VEWD web browser app. In the browser, i can tab my way around most screens and control the cursor with the keyboard’s directional arrow keys, but it’s slow and clunky. Holding an arrow key down makes the cursor move via the arrow key’s repeat rate. Once i’ve moved the cursor over a button, the Enter key on the keyboard serves as a “mouse button click”. I hopefully plugged the transceiver for my microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000 into the Bravia’s other usb port. But the mouse doesn’t move the cursor on screen, and in the Bravia’s settings there is no place to designate a mouse as a peripheral device. I wish i had known that This bravia model does not come with a browser app and it does not support mouse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot speak to using a mouse, but I connected an old HP usb keyboard that I had lying around and it works on most apps. Some apps it didn't work on though, so I think it's based on the app.
