No, the TV is mounted with the stand attached. The stand locks so it doesn't move and you screw the wall mount into it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just mounted the Sony A1E on the wall using a wall bracket. You do not need to add the kickstand to the bottom. There are Two very small brackets, with screws, included in the packaging. They are used to keep the TV from tilting but are not necessary to use . The Bass speaker is near the top and middle of the television . The owners manual that comes with the television shows that you do not have to use that bracket. I hope this helps. RENEE

Please make sure to use a VESA compliant wall mount designed for 55" TVs.
