However, it runs on the Android/Google TV operating system that has built-in smart capabilities and offers access to variety of streaming apps and services. The X80K comes with pre-installed apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. and many of the existing apps from the Google Play store can be downloaded to this Google TV after connecting it to the internet. There are over 10000+ apps and games already available with a consistent flow of new apps being released for the Android/Google TV platform. The decision of whether or not to get a Roku device depends on your individual needs and preferences. If you are happy with the selection of apps available on Google TV, then you may not need a Roku device. However, if you want access to the Roku platform and its specific features, then you will need to purchase a seperate device. Additional information: With the BRAVIA X80K LED TV, you will enjoy an intuitive smart TV experience with natural color and clear sound. The powerful 4K HDR Processor X1 reduces digital noise and boosts details for lifelike picture quality. Google TV gives you access to all your favorite streaming apps, while Google Assistant easily searches for content and controls your smart home simply by using your voice. Hope this helps! - Kris
