Samantha, it always comes down to what you are going to use the TV for. If you are building the fanciest home theater room, this unit is not the latest and greatest. I use it in the family room, and the picture is great. Remember, before HDR, 4K, ..., this technology was THE thing. Without the latest stuff, it does not mean this TV is no longer any good. For the $, excellent value.
