Not sure if anyone answered your question but there are some channels where I notice excellent quality and other channels not so much. What may also help is if you purchased the 4k HDMI cords, perhaps it was a sales tactic from the store but it seems to help when watching some regular channels. Same for watching DVDs. Some of the regular DVDs are grainy even with the 4k HDMI cables but when I get blue ray or 4k movies it looks fantastic (plus I purchased a 4k blue ray dvd player so that might have helped some).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No issues with 1080p picture. Regular hd cable broadcasts look great, no distortion. Took out of box, turned on and everything looks great. Shopped for two years with similar concerns. Upscale engine and HDR on this set more than met all expectations whether hd or the occasional 4K via Netflix. Needed no setting adjustments!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some shows and commercials not recorded in 4K are a bit blurry when objects are moving. But it seems a lot of the shows are trying to catch up and it won't be long til everything we watch will be as clear as being right there, live. We are happy with our purchase. We did watch a show or two that, I don't know what they used to record it, that were hard to watch due to bluryness. We found it on Hulu and it was a bit better. Good luck
